What’s your job?
For the Tata Steel Internal Audit team, to be based in IJmuiden we are searching for a Senior IT Auditor ((Sr.) Manager level Big Four OR strong and experienced Internal IT Auditor). Reporting to the Manager IT Audit, you will in this role add value to and improve the organisation’s operations by bringing a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes within the many diverse areas of the organization.
Main responsibilities include:
- Undertaking IT audits and performing Internal Audit Data Analytics activities across Tata Steel mainly within Europe but also outside Europe
- Liaise with business transformation programs to ensure IT risks have been properly addressed and adequate assurance is obtained
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities, cost savings, controls optimisations, and other value-added recommendations
- The opportunity to interact with senior management, review company strategy and undertake investigations across a wide range of IT subject matter
This is an interesting and international senior Audit position, therefore it is essential that:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent preferably in recognized information technology, audit or security qualification (e.g. RE, CISA or CISSP) and/or a relevant business qualification.
- In addition, you have experience in writing reports (UK English) that are accurate, comprehensive and formatted with care.
- You have experience in and detailed knowledge of audit practices, audit methods (e.g. COBIT, ISO27001) and the principles of internal control, in particular the audit of large-scale information systems.
- Broad and strong knowledge of the key IT Infrastructure components that are operational within Tata Steel (e.g. Network devices, Unix, Windows, MES, Process Controls, BYOD, Cloud).
- Preferably experience with ERP applications such as SAP, JDA, Navision and Stratix.
- Experience with SAP Audit Management and data analytics software like SAP HANA, ACL, IDEA, SAS is appreciated.
- A current full driving license is essential.
- Frequent travel (mainly within Europe) as an integral part of this position due to the international character. It is therefore essential that you are willing and able to trave (approximately 20%).
- You are able to verbally communicate complex ideas and concepts.

Internal Audit is an independent corporate function with a Tata Steel Europe Group wide responsibility reporting to the chairman of the Audit Committee. Internal Audit provides its principal stakeholders (Audit Committee, executive members, business management and external auditors) with independent and objective assurance on governance, risk management and control processes as well as consulting and advisory services to help improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
