For the head office we are looking for a Financial Controller to join the international Finance Team Europe.
In this new role in the Netherlands country management team, you focus on the accounting and the compliance of the Dutch operating companies and budget control of the overhead costs of the Netherlands. You work in close cooperation with the Shared Service Center (SSC), the Financial Controller EU/AF and the Business Controllers in the country.

Main tasks & responsibilities;
- Lead accountant for the country, who ensures actual reporting of the entities are correct and complete, and all financial compliance related activities are performed on time and with the required quality;
- Accountable for all statutory and tax compliance activities of the country and in that identity lead statutory financials and internal/external audits;
- Manage the cash flow of the entity (incl. intercompany loans) and are responsible for the business control of the overhead costs in the country;
- Coordinate the finance team for the activities to be performed for the upload in Tagetik and central reporting and make sure correct implementation of the ICFs related to the responsible entities;
- Lead and support the implementation of new standards in the Netherlands and in setting up new policies in cooperation with the Global and Regional Finance team;
- You are key player in the implementation of IFS in the Dutch entities.
Profile:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting (e.g. RA, ACCA, RC) or similar discipline,
- Relevant working experience in Financial Control and/or Auditing;
- Understand major business drivers as well as the impact that organisational structure and process has on operations;
- Strong relationship builder at senior level and can function in a matrix organisation, dealing with accountability and responsibility across multiple matrix lines;
- Take ownership and are a result-oriented person always striving for operational excellence;
- Excellent Dutch and English language skills (both written and oral) and feel comfortable in an international & multi-stakeholder setting
