Topicus.com Inc has an unique opportunity for a Portfolio Controller who wants to be part of one of the biggest and fastest growing VMS companies in Europe.
Some of the tasks & responsabilities:
- Coordinate consolidation, periodic management reporting for executive Management Team
- Divers projects:
- lead in PPA / financial onboarding acquisitions
- (re)structuring of portfolio reporting
- knowledge center for IFRS topics
- provide ad-hoc analysis on various topics
- Coordinate, educate and train finance community Public (100FTE);
Stakeholders for the Portfolio Controller are MT and CEO/CFO Public, Corporate Controller Topicus.com and the country finance management & teams.
How does your position looks like regarding time spend:
- 40% consolidation and management reporting
- 20% projects
- 20% educate and coach finance community

The Portfolio Controller will report directly to the Senior Portfolio Controller under the Group CFO, collaborate closely with other portfolio controllers and the Corporate Control team and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders.

Profile:
- Master’s degree in the field of Accounting, Finance, Economics, maybe supplemented with a Post-Master qualification (RC, RA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- 3-5 years relevant working experience in Audit and/or Controlling with renowned accounting firm
- Experience with IFRS, consolidation and reporting processes
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility. A clear, to-the-point communicator with a practical, no-nonsense mentality
The location will be Utrecht at the European headquater of Topicus.com Inc.
Detailed Description:
The portfolio of TSS Public consists of over 92 businesses in 13 countries. Each region has its own finance team managed by one or more Managers Finance & Control, depending on the size.
Finance has a key role in our organization as it secures the backbone of compliance, performance management and integrity of the organization. As the Portfolio Controller you have a key role by coordinating the consolidation and financial reporting process. You set out the timelines & deliverables of reporting in our consolidation tool OneStream (workday 5), you support the businesses with issues during the close and adjustments in OneStream, and you take on the more complex ad hoc issues arising. After reporting by the teams, you do the financial sanity check in close contact with the regional teams and do a thorough analysis on P&L/BS movements and actuals/forecast variances. Together with colleagues you manage the monthly management reporting. This includes next to the statutory information, also information relevant to management reporting such as IRR calculations. On a quarterly basis you manage the disclosures and deliverables for the reporting to Topicus.com and annually you review the statutory report and corporate tax, in close collaboration with the external Tax consultants.
Topicus.com Inc. is a growing organization so a significant part of your role is dedicated to the integration of acquisitions, maintaining compliancy towards the future, the further optimalization of processes and training of employees. This includes performing Purchase Price Allocations, taking a lead in implementing IFRS changes, developing OneStream for further automation, optimizing management reporting in a changing organization and providing training on changes to the finance employees.
